NEW FACILITIES AT CMC

Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy teacher inaugurating various wards and equipment of departments at calicut medical college.

......and after long time one feather too added to our proud cmc... Super specialty block
in-patient ward opened yesterday....Besides ICU equipment, beds and wheel-chairs, the new block would have 10 dialysis machines, EEG machines, defibrillators and ventilators.
......and other new facilities are....
extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ECSL) which uses shock waves to break a kidney stone into small pieces , radiotherapy simulator for cancer treatment, new intensive care unit for the department of medicine, modernised surgery ward, and new out-patient wing for the ophthalmology,surgery,medicine department.........ya our our college is developing day to day ....and the renovating work for a modernised casualty wing are currently on progress.....and yesterday minister announced A regional institute of paramedical sciences is being established at Government Medical College Hospital (MCH) shortly.........

Ms. Sreemathy teacher announced that the ophthalmology wing of the medical college would be converted into the regional institute. A sum of Rs.50 lakh had been allotted for that purpose. This would be in addition to an equal amount that had been sanctioned for the project earlier
....A sum of Rs.1 crore had been sanctioned for the hostel for MBBS students. An equal amount would be sanctioned soon for a hostel for nursing students. The government was considering a proposal to build a hostel for dental college also, she said.
